Young people haven’t rushed to sign up for Obamacare coverage, but administration officials predicted Monday that more people under age 35 — a critical demographic — will sign up before the enrollment season ends in March.
The administration released its monthly enrollment update Monday, showing 2.2 million people had picked health plans in the federal or state health exchanges as of Dec. 28. It was the first monthly report that gave demographic information, including the age brackets.
